morning of the heron

The roses are dripping with crystals

of frost. my roseate soul is

papery in the dawn; a transient

light fills my heart.

Stateless, dwelling freely in mist -

like an Ave Maria, you are lifted

by air, a gestation of

the stark & wild Divine imagination,

for which I give thanks.
